Dj'ing Help Sites

Listed below are the sites that I have seen on the web that I think are of any cop. This batch is the lot that are along the same lines as my site, there to help you get better in one way or the other.

I've tried my best to sort them properly, and in alphabetical order, but a few of them will slip through the net and fall into the wrong category - if you end up somewhere you didn't want to go - it's your own fault for asking ME directions!

One more thing, there used to be images to accompany, but it was taking so long to load the page, people would stay for 15 seconds and leave, so I've dropped the images, and will hopefully increase peoples waiting time. If you have a problem with my dropping your image in the link, get in touch and I'll delete it.

A note though: Though I've been to all the pages mentioned, I don't endorse their comments or ideas - the links here are to Dj'ing pages that I have found, or even been asked by the author for a link. If anyone finds anything truly offensive on any of these, then mail me and I'll delete them. Obviously people are entitled to their own opinions, but if that opinion isn't very sociable, then they're not welcome here.

If you're wanting to link to me (and use images), then please use the image at the top of this page

Just click it to visit....

BPM
One Hell of a Page, check it out!!

Buy DJ Gear
In his own words, The Definitive Resource & Directory For DJ's & Pro Audio Enthusiasts!

Djs Mixing
This page has (amongst other things) a great info page on Carts and Styli. Everytime I need to know something about them, I get in touch with him. The rest of the site is just as informative too.

Dj'ing FAQ
Er, the "Dj Frequently Asked Questions?" Everything on Dj'ing from how to finance your first night, to blagging a drink of the promoter (probably)

The Dj Elite Lists
Really, it's just that, a page with lots of links to peoples pages. Good stuff.

JonnoWeb
At time of putting up this link, there's still a couple of pages under construction here, but the ones that are already up there are good (even though he says my site is "Probably" better than his ;-p)

Tiss
I think Johns page gets a bit squished if you're viewing it on 640x480, but still - Even Mixology gave it "Most impressive site" rating!!

Portal
Another site which aims to help out the newbie DJ. It's not completed yet, but the stuff that's on it is great. He's got a good manner when it comes to explaining stuff, very simple and friendly, check out the Beat Matching part for just that!

Rupespad
A nice site with a Dj guide, photo's, links - stuff basically!!

Dj Dot Com
If you're into scratching, then (hopefully) you'll already have seen the link on the scratching page. But check this guy out anyway.

Sooper DJ's
Tips include beat mixing tips and a full composition lesson/ tutorial that he has developed using some tried and true music composition theory methods (the golden mean, and febonacci scale & stuff). Really worth a look!!

Subversive Industries
This site's purpose is to provide free access to underground music, links, and important information. If you're looking for corporate music - you've come to the wrong place. It's is a work in progress so expect to see changes all time.

Slif
Though this is another "under construction" page at the time of the link, I'm assured by the owner that this will develop into a really good site about scratching etc.

Hehe, click it, if you're a fan of Kevin Smith stuff like me, you'll love all this
