Here's the structure of Way Out West's Ajare. I've colour coded the sections in it, to match up the 16 bar thinking that has gone into this tune. There's one or two parts that stray from this, but if you look at it, you'll see what I mean. Where there are two colours used, it doesn't mean they are linked in any way, just that I ran out of different colours to use.

The link to hear it HERE (is currently down - I am sorting! )

After four beats (1 bar) you'll hear a noise in the right speaker, that's to let you know what a bar is. After four bars, you'll hear another, after 8 another, after 12 - another, then after 16 the last one.

INTRO - 16 Bars of Drums. Notice that this is made of 4 phrases. There are definite splits between the two sets of 8 bars (2x2 phrases), and smaller splits between the two sets of four bars (2 phrases). The last bar has a small build up into the tune.

8 Bars of Vocal Intro - no drums.

8 Bars of Non Vocal - but has the power of the tune - the last bar drops the beat, to be the transition to the next part of the tune.

16 Bars of here singing "ho Har - Ho Har hey" (or whatever). Notice that after 4 bars (1 phrase) there is a key change, and after 8 bars (the second phrase) there is a split between the two "Chunks" of 8 Bars.

8 Bars of her singing "Arjareeee"
8 bars of a non-vocal bridge between "Ajare" chunks. (last bar, beats drop for transition)

16 Bars of singing. First 8 bars just "ajareee" second a bit more complicated. Notice that there is a key change after the first four bars ( 1 phrase ) , a change in the vocals after 8 bars ( second phrase ), and another key change after 12 bars (third phrase).

16 Bars of more singing "Ho Har - Ho Har Hey" straight after these 16 bars before. Notice that the key changes after 4 bars (1 phrase) are still there, and that though the singing is still similar between the two sets of 8 bars ( 2x2 phrases ), the second one has extra sounds and 'stuff' in it. (I'm gonna stop typing the phrase notes now, I think you get the point - and I'm bored!)

Mini Breakdown (or Bridge) for 8 bars. Again, notice the mark after 4 bars.

8 more bars of more complicated vocals - I don't think I need to tell you that there's another mark between the two sets of 4 bars.

8 Bars back to the "Ho Har - Ho Har Hey" bit.

16 Bars of non vocal music.

8 bars of no vocal, but notice it's different from the 16 preceding, there's a high pitch crescendo going on.

8 Bars of breakdown. After four bars, she starts the "ho Har -ho har hey" bit again

8 bars of simplistic beats - (The bridge coming out of the breakdown)

8 Bars of "ho har - Ho har hey" basically the same music as the last 8 bars, except it has this vocal sample over it.

16 Bars of full frontal "Ajare" tunage! Notice that there's still a "Stab" in between the two sets of 8 bars.

The last two bars of the last set of eight (above) is a drum roll - then out.

So that's taken you through the structure of this tune, very simple one at that!
